What is Mina LGU?

A Brief Overview

                   Mina is a 5th income class municipality located in the third district, Province of Iloilo. it has a land area of 4, 340 hectares with a population of 26, 299 as of 2018 survey conducted by the Provincial Population Office (PPO). It is composed of 22 barangays, 4 of these barangays are rural ones. Farming is the major source of income o its people considering that 77.74% of the land area is utilized for agriculture.

                 Mina is 38 kilometers away from Iloilo City and is strategically located in the central part of Iloilo Province accessible in all directions towards other progressive municipalities of Pototan, Janiuay, New Lucena, Badiangan and Cabatuan where the Iloilo Airport is situated. It is accessible to both Iloilo  Airport nd to Iloilo Port and Dumangas Port with Roll-On and Roll-Off service facilities. One of the most peaceful LGUs and the first in the province of Iloilo to be declared by PDEA as all barangays are cleared of illegal drugs and was achieved without any human rights violation.
